Payment Options:

  1. PayPal - non-credit card/existing funds (preferred)
  2. PayPal - credit card (not preferred)
  3. Western Union - online or otherwise
  4. Money Order ($US Only) - delivery confirmation strongly suggested
  5. Personal Check - allow 10 days to clear
  6. Cash ($US only) - AT YOUR OWN RISK! See "Cash Payments" below.

Payment Guidelines:

  1. Payment Due - Payment must be in my hands (or account) within 10 days (14 for international buyers). If you need more time, let me know before placing your order. If sending via postal mail, send it right away to allow yourself time to re-mail on the event it goes missing. If that happens, keep me posted so that I can work with your situation.
  2. Lost Payments - I am not responsible for payments lost in the mail. I strongly suggest (and require for cash payments) that you purchase delivery confirmation so that you can track your money in the mail. Insurance is also a good idea (and required for cash payments of $50 or more).
  3. Cash Payments - Due to the risk of sending cash through the mail, I do have some requirements, for your protection and for mine. Obviously, it must be well-concealed, and rounded up to the next dollar (no coins!). Next, you are required to purchase delivery confirmation (about $.50), and provide me with the tracking number as soon as it's mailed. Your order will not be finalized until I receive this tracking number. If your order totals $50 or more, I also require that you purchase insurance. I cannot be held responsible for lost money, though I will help file an insurance claim for it.
  4. Payment Plans - If you can't pay for your order all at once, you may have the option of setting up a payment plan. If this is something you would like to look into, contact me for details. I reserve the right to deny multiple payments for any reason.

Shipping Options:

Within the United States

  1. USPS Media Mail - movies, music, magazines, and books only
  2. USPS First Class Mail - must be 13 oz. or less
  3. USPS Parcel Post - combined length must 103 inches or less
  4. USPS Priority Mail (Upgrade) - combined length must be 108 inches or less

  2. USPS Economy (Surface) Parcel Post - for packages over 16 oz.
  3. USPS Airmail Letter Post (Upgrade) - must be 16 oz. or less
  4. USPS Airmail Parcel Post (Upgrade) - for packages over 16 oz.
  5. USPS Global Priority Mail (Upgrade) - must be 4 lb. or less

Shipping Policies:

  1. Proof of Mailing/Insurance - Delivery confirmation is mandatory on all domestic packages, as is certificate of mailing on international orders. This is non-negotiable, since I need proof of mailing as much as you need to receive your package. Insurance is optional on all items save glass or breakable items, and orders of $150 or more.
  2. Lost Packages - I am not responsible for packages lost in the mail. However, if insurance was purchased on said package, I will send the recipient the necessary documents, and sign the necessary forms (the customer is responsible for filing the claim). I will not issue refunds for lost packages.
  3. Damaged Packages - I pack each order very carefully. If you can prove that the damage was my fault (not properly padded, etc...), I will work with you to fix the situation. However, I am not responsible for the mishandling of your items by US Postal Service employees. If your items are fragile, important, and/or expensive (and I haven't already required you to do so), I suggest you spring for the insurance to prevent monetary loss on damaged items.
  4. Materials - I re-use packing materials whenever I can to keep your shipping costs down. On the event that I am forced to buy new, I will have to apply a small "handling" charge. This will only include what your package requires, and will not include the cost of gas, pen ink, or the "labor" it took to pack your order. In other words, I will do everything I can to keep costs down for you, the buyer.
  5. Accidental Overcharge - I get shipping quotes online, so I might mess up on the weight of your package from time to time. If I accidentally charge you $1 or more over the actual shipping cost, I will give you credit towards your next purchase.

Shipping Discounts:
I give shipping discounts for orders of $25 or more.*  Some expensive items may come with their own shipping discounts, which can't be combined with the specials below (those discounts apply to the specific item only, not the whole package). However, if your order includes one of these items & at least $25 worth of additional items, you will receive a discount on the entire package.

How to Initiate a Trade:

  1. First of all, make sure you understand and agree with my trading terms. If you have any questions or concerns, contact me (katiesponies @ hotmail.com).
  2. Check out my want list and determine what you have that I might be interested in.
  3. Decide what you'd like from my inventory, and get an idea of what your proposed trade is. This doesn't have to be that specific, especially if you have several items for me to pick from. This is just to get things started.
  4. Copy and paste this form into your email program, and fill it out completely. Leaving out information will result in a delay in the trading process.
  5. I will look into your references (and I invite you to look into mine), and I will get back to you regardless of whether I want to trade or not. If I am interested, I will ask you for more detailed descriptions of the items I might want, and for pictures. I'll also let you know whether or not the items you'd like are still available.
  6. Once we've negotiated the trade, I'll confirm the items, the shipping time/method, and other pertinent details. Don't send your end before confirmation!

I will let you know once your package has been shipped. Once you've received your end, please consider leaving me feedback here. Once I've received my package I will be happy to do the same for you.

Trading Terms:

  1. References - I ask that any potential trader provide me with references (you can find my references here). This includes links to message boards/forums with sections dedicated to feedback on online transactions, and/or email addresses of people that you've previously had transactions with (an easy way to do this would be sign up for an account at the Toybox Classifieds). If you are new at trading online, or have what I feel are insufficient references, I will require that you send your end first.
  2. Shipping - I usually like to send packages at the same time, since this doesn't take as long. When we agree to send on the same day (or within a day or two), I do not stall and wait until my package has arrived before sending out. I expect my trading partner to have the same respect for me. Shipping methods will be negotiated during the course of the trade, though I do require that we both get delivery confirmation (or certificate of mailing if overseas).
  3. Lost Packages - I've never come across this before, but it does, unfortunately, happen. One way help prevent the loss of a package is to purchase delivery confirmation and insurance. If it does happen, and both parties have proof of shipping, fairness dictates that the recipient of the missing package takes the loss (this is assuming all resources for locating the package - including waiting - have been taken advantage of). However, if you send first, and you can't prove to me that it was sent when it goes missing, I will not send my end until I receive either the package or proof it was sent and genuinely lost. Of course the door swings both ways, so I don't expect you to send if there is no proof yours actually got mailed.

Selling Your Wares:

If you have toys that you'd like to sell, I may be able to take them off your hands for you. If you have something that I collect, I will pay a reasonable price (check my Want List). If you only have items that I would re-sell, I would suggest advertising them elsewhere (like the Toybox Classifieds), unless you really only care about getting rid of them. If that's the case, we can work out a price that satisfies you while allowing me to make a profit (so that I can support my pony habit :P). I will never offer you a price that I know is much lower than your item is worth (unless, of course, it would be for resale, and I would let you know my intentions). That being said, it is your responsibility to find out what your item is, and approximately how much it's worth. If you offer me a price that's a bargain, I'm going to take it. To let me know about items you have for sale, just shoot me an email directing me to your ad on a forum, or list your items with prices and brief descriptions in the email. Please also have your selling/trading feedback and references ready in case I ask for them (if you already have a Trader Directory Listing in the Toybox Classifieds, let me know).

Refunds & Returns:

I will grant refunds (full or partial) and accept returns only under the following conditions:

  1. The item in question has been misrepresented on my part (missed flaws, missing parts, etc...)
  2. It has been within 30 days of package delivery
  3. Item has been returned to me in the exact same condition in which I last saw it
  4. On the event of slow shipping or bad service on my part, we may come to an agreement involving a full/partial refund for shipping, etc...

I will NOT grant refunds (partial or full) or accept returns under the following conditions:

  1. The item is not what you expected (assuming my description was accurate)
  2. The item in question has not been misrepresented on my part (missed flaws, missing parts, etc...)
  3. It has been longer than 30 days from package delivery
  4. Item is not returned to me in the exact same condition in which I last saw it
  5. I do not feel that a refund is warranted
If  I receive an item for which I have not promised a refund, I will not pay out of my pocket for return shipping. The sender will not receive a refund, and will be responsible for giving me the money to ship it back if he/she wants it.

After the Transaction:

Once you've received your order, I would appreciate it if you left me feedback. There are several places where I accept feedback:

  1. Mlp Arena
  2. Toybox Classifieds
  3. Katie's Toybox
  4. Fiona's Feedback Forum
Please only leave feedback in one place. If you'd like to be a reference for me (which automatically makes me a reference for you), leave your email address (or "ask for email"), or some way to contact you (forum name, etc...). Please let me know specifically if you don't want me to give your email address to others as a reference when asked.
As soon as I receive feedback from you, I will leave feedback for you wherever you'd like. I would hope you have a listing in the Trader Directory so that I can leave you feedback there. :P I will also comment wherever else you'd like.

The reason I often wait for buyer feedback is that I want to make sure the buyer is satisfied with the transaction. If my customers are unsatisfied in any way, I expect them to let me know so that I can either fix it or give them compensation. Giving me a negative feedback without giving me a chance to right the situation automatically shuts the door on any chance for a refund or reconciliation.
I want all my customers to be happy with their experience, and I will do what it takes to ensure that. My responsibility is to deliver your order in a timely fashion and as described, and it is the buyer's responsibility to pay in a timely manner in one of the accepted methods, and to let me know about any grievances before leaving premature feedback. I will never leave retaliatory feedback for well-deserved negative feedback. However, other sellers have the right to know whether or not they're selling to someone who is too quick to leave bad feedback without giving them a chance to redeem themselves.
